Presidents’ Welcome

Welcome to Durham University Hill Orchestra! We are Durham’s only non-auditioned orchestra, priding ourselves on our high standard of playing yet inclusive and sociable atmosphere. We’re planning lots of great rep for this year – from Parry’s “From Death to Life”, to Elgar’s “Sospiri” as well as the potential for some film/show music later in later terms.

We have regular socials including trips to concerts in the area, group meals, and bar crawls – something for everyone! We rehearse weekly, from 3:15-5:00 every Saturday in Sir James Knott Hall, Trevelyan College. Come and give orchestral playing a try – we’re sure you’ll love it!

Keep an eye on our social media pages for upcoming info on rehearsals, and visit us at the Freshers fair on the 2nd and 3rd October to sign up.

See you soon!
